Dr. Stephen J. Chu earned his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Washington. He further specialized with a Master's in Dental Technology from NYU, where he also served as Director of the Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry Continuing Education Program. With 26 years as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at NYU College of Dentistry in periodontology, implant dentistry, and prosthodontics, Dr. Chu has authored over 100 publications, including seven textbooks, and is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry. Recognized for his excellence, he has received prestigious awards such as the Peter Scharer Distinguished Lecturer Award (EAED) and the E.B. Clark Award (SCAD).

Dr. Dennis Tarnow is a Clinical Professor of Periodontology and Director of Implant Education at Columbia University. Previously, he was Chairman of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at NYU. Board-certified in Periodontics and Prosthodontics, he has played a pivotal role in advancing the field. With over 250 published articles and four co-authored textbooks, including The Single Tooth Implant, Dr. Tarnow has shaped modern implant dentistry. He has lectured in more than 45 countries and maintains a prestigious private practice in New York City. His contributions have earned him numerous honors, including the Master Clinician Award (AAP), Nobel Biocare Branemark Osseointegration Award, and Lifetime Achievement Awards from SEPES and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.

Day 1: Foundations & Decision Frameworks

Opening day at the Institute. Surgical and restorative principles of immediate implants in esthetic zones. Case selection, risk assessment, and decision frameworks led by Dr. Tarnow and Dr. Chu. Daily lunch included.

Thu Nov 5

Day 2: Esthetic Complications & Interdisciplinary Protocols

How to anticipate, prevent, and resolve esthetic complications through interdisciplinary protocols. Live demonstrations and case discussions on managing difficult anterior cases. Hands-on sessions in the afternoon.

Fri Nov 6

Day 3: Molar Zones & Closing

Surgical and restorative management of immediate implants in molar zones. Closing case discussions and certification ceremony. 18 CE credits awarded on completion. Optional Manhattan experience curated by ATSEL the same evening for Comfort Program participants.
